Age proof & Eligibility: Players born on or after 01-01-2011 are only eligible. Each participant must produce a valid certificate to prove his/her age. Certificates from school are not accepted. Certificates should preferably be from the Panchayat, Municipality or corporation obtained soon after birth. The date of birth certificates registered within one year of the birth of the child alone will be recognized and allowed to participate.
Special entry for Nationals: Players who participated in district will be recommended for respective AP State Championship. Female players who participated in Men category will be recommended for Women category also. Without participating in District Championship no player will be recommended for State. SPSR Nellore Chess Association administration reserve the right to recommend for State without participating in district under extraordinary circumstances upon approval from Executive Committee
Default Time: Players must be at the boards within 15 minutes of the round start.
Rules: FIDE rules in force shall apply.
System of Play: The tournament will follow an Eight Rounds Swiss System.
Time Control: 20 minutes each plus a 5 second increment from move one.
Tie-break: Buchholz Cut 1, Buchholz, Sonneborn Berger, direct encounter, number of wins (including forfeits), and
number of wins with Black. Prizes will not be shared in case of a tie.
Chess Clocks: Players should bring their own chess clocks.
Protest: Protests against the Chief Arbiter’s decisions must be submitted in writing with a fee of Rs. 500/- within 15
minutes of the incident. The protest fee is refundable if the protest is upheld.
Withdrawals: Players may withdraw from the tournament at any stage by informing the Chief Arbiter in writing.
Rights of Admission: ACA/ SPSR Nellore Chess Association / Roi Chess Academy reserve the right of admission to
the venue.
Other Important Aspects: Until their entry is confirmed, players can edit and attach documents in the tournament form.
Players should check comments against their names for any issues. Any Rules of SPSR Nellore Chess Association for time being in force applicable even though not covered in this prospectus.
